Charter Members
Lions Club of Anna Nagar was chartered on 21st June 1970 by like minded friends to serve the society. The Charter members were Ln Prof T.I. Johnson, Ln P. Vidhyadharan, Ln. Nandagopal, Ln P.V.B. Warrier, Ln. Venkatraman, Ln. M.A. Gopalakrishnan, Ln. Kuber, Ln. A.S. Uduppa, Ln. K.S.C. Iyer, Ln. Venkatapathy, Ln. Solaiappan, Ln. S.M. Sathe, Ln. Subash Chander, Ln. Muthiah and Ln. Babu Nageswaran.
Lions International
We are part of the World’s largest International NGO – Lions International. Established as Association of Lions Club on 7th June 1917, we are more than 100 years old. In India we are a part of the Multiple 324 of Tamil Nadu and District 324 M of Chennai.
Silver Jubilee
The Club celebrated its Silver Jubilee in the year 1995 when Ln. P.P. Menon was the President. It was attended by the then International President.
Golden Jubilee
The Club Celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 2020 when Ln. Vijayendra Rao was the President and the celebrations were attended by the International President Ln. Jung Yul Choi and a host of other International and National dignitaries. The Club has the unique distinction of having 54 different Presidents.
